Why is it called "Named by Grace"?
Because grace names you before you earn anything. Every other name you carry was assigned by performance — yours or someone else's opinion of it. Employee of the month. Disappointment. The strong one. The one who left. Those names are wages: you did something, and the world paid you an identity for it.
Grace works in the opposite direction. It names you first, before you have done anything at all, and then invites you to live like it is true — because it is.
"I have called you by name; you are mine."
Isaiah 43:1
Notice the order. God does not say "become worthy, and then I'll claim you." He claims you, and the becoming grows out of being claimed. That order — named first, then living from the name — is the whole channel in two words. Every devotional we make is just that one idea, held up to a different morning.
