How do I actually give my anxiety to God?
You tell God the truth about it, plainly, and then ask two questions: "God, what do you want me to know? What do you want me to do?" That is the whole mechanism. Casting your anxiety on Him is not a feeling you wait for or a formula you recite — it is truth-telling followed by listening.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
1 Peter 5:7
Start by saying the anxious thing out loud, specifically. Not "I'm just stressed," but the real sentence underneath: I'm afraid the money runs out. I'm afraid I've ruined it. I'm afraid I'm alone in this. Anxiety loses altitude the moment it is named, because most of its power is in staying vague.
Then ask the two questions — and expect an answer. God's answers tend to be brief and kind: "I'm with you. You were never meant to carry this." What He gives back in the exchange is not a solved calendar; it is peace that outruns the circumstances. Peace is not the absence of the problem. It is the presence of Someone.
